The ROLLERCOASTER of emotions that As Good As Dead gave me, had me on edge the entire time. The ending had me sobbing! My heart broke for some of the characters’ ending. Definitely had to take a few days to emotionally recover, if I’m being honest as well as dramatic.

What The Vibes Are

What It’s About

Pip is not a detective anymore.

With the help of Ravi Singh, she released a true-crime podcast about the murder case they solved together last year. The podcast has gone viral, yet Pip insists her investigating days are behind her.

But she will have to break that promise when someone she knows goes missing. Jamie Reynolds has disappeared, on the very same night the town hosted a memorial for the sixth anniversary of the deaths of Andie Bell and Sal Singh.

The police won’t do anything about it. And if they won’t look for Jamie, then Pip will, uncovering more of her town’s dark secrets along the way… and this time everyone is listening. But will she find him before it’s too late?

What I thought about it

***Possible Spoilers below

I dove deep with this and banged it out in a day. The R O L L E R C O A S T E R, this book had me on edge. From the fake profile to the serial killer connection to the stalker, and everything else. The ending had me sobbing! Stanley deserved better than that, and to be punished for his father’s sins was heartbreaking. I felt for everyone involved and their circumstances, but my heart went out mostly to Stanley when he met his end. Just broke my heart. Took a few days to recover, if I’m being honest (and dramatic).

Is anyone else both excited and terrified about the TV show? I mean, I like the actors they chose, so it isn’t about that. I fear that they’ll deviate from the plotline of the books and go off on some tangent that is so far off base it’s unrecognizable. Here’s to it being a success!
