I enjoyed Tastes Like Candy immensely. The plot takes a little to start off, but whew, once it does??! Unmatched. I loved the atmosphere, the brutality of the killings, and even the crazed motive. However, it did frustrate me as the killer was an unhinged narcissist. One of my new favorite slasher!

How to Survive Your Murder has become one of my top favorite slasher novels yet! I ADORE the homage to 90s slashers!! Riddled with references and easter eggs, the plot leaves you at the edge of your seat with anticipation as Valentine feeds you scraps before the delicious main course.

You’re Not Supposed To Die Tonight took a turn I wasn’t expecting… In a good way! I loved the haunted camp attraction idea! This aspect, accompanied by all the horror references, left my spooky-loving heart so happy! Overall, I recommend this book if you love slashers, supernatural twists, and dumb teens!

Welcome to Camp Alpine Lake, a summer camp for teenage wealth… The Counselors was a fun, engaging murder mystery that was filled with mischief, twists, drama, and that campy, small-town feel I love in mysteries! Definitely one of my new favorite mystery reads! Definitely a must read for those wanting nostalgia.

Steep Mountains & Comatosed Girls
Dead Girls Can’t Tell Secrets was your average teen thriller with a lot of build-up and a mediocre ending. This plot line had so much potential, but it fell flat. I felt like there could’ve been more. The characters were well-developed, the setting was believable, and the writing style was decent.

What Lurks Between the Fates took off where the previous book left off; Caldris and Estrella made it to Alfheimr but were immediately captured by Caldris’s abusive stepmother, Queen Mab. The focus of this book was to discover what powers Estrella had and to determine whether or not she was fae.

Fae Marks & Hot Springs
What Lies Beyond the Veil was the perfect smutty fantasy read I needed. Loads of amazing spice while still maintaining world-building and lore. I listened to the entire series on Audible, and it had quite the chokehold on me! Caelum reminded me of Henry Cavill’s drool-worthy character, Geralt from The Witcher.

Dead Husbands & Reticent Widows
Young, Rich Widows was dramatic suspense that was dripping in secrets, twists, and murder. Thrilling and engaging, this was absolutely worth the listen! Dirty lawyers, mafia bosses, missing money, and a stupid kid. Told from the alternating perspectives of each widow, Amazon Audible did an amazing job at casting the narrators.

Getaways & Deep Betrayals
House on the Water was enthralling, dramatic in the best way, and it fueled the ego of every scorned woman! Love, Loved! Bravo to Taylor Schilling for another amazing performance! If you haven’t given this book a listen, or at least a read, what are you doing with your life?!
