Dead Girls & Pretty Liars
After watching a good part of the Pretty Little Liars television series, I wanted to give the book series a try. Honestly, I was disappointed. I thought they dramatized the story for TV, but nope, it was equally as dramatic.

Pirates & Vendettas
If Captain Jack Sparrow still graces your wet dreams, then you should probably read this. And by probably, I mean get up and go get it!
-

A Summer Rental & A Bloody Revenge
Summer Rental was a summertime slasher set in Palm Key, Florida, where six teens go out to the beach for one last hoorah. A hurricane had other plans for their weekend, and they became trapped inside with a stalker lurking around.

Fate & Locked Safes
I listened to Audible’s adaptation and the way Audible adapted The Safe Man was captivating. The eerie music and sound effects mixed with the phenomenal acting of Jack Quaid and Titus Welliver, this audio experience was *chef kiss*

Blood & Karma
Perfect Little Monsters is an ode to every bully victim who just wants to snap. Perfect amount of build-up, gore, and just the right amount of monsters.
-

19th Century Egypt & Ancient Magic
What The River Knows was everything I wanted and more. If you’re craving the vibe from the movie The Mummy, this book is for you. The action kept me on my toes, the twists and turns of trying to figure out who to trust kept me reading. Still reeling at the ending!

Dark Fairytales & Asylum Girls
The Never King was a kinky Peter Pan and the Lost Boys retelling, except this time Peter Pan was the villain. It was the perfect palette cleanser in between several dense reads. It satiated the craving for fantasy without exhausting you. Keeping you hooked and bothered enough to read on.

Mommy Issues & Peer Pressure
Tastes Like Candy 2: Sugarless was an amusing and intriguing read… I found the split parts incredibly interesting. I especially enjoyed the way Tholen showed Dusty’s, our MC of part 1, descent into a full-blown psychopath, as well as the way an outside influence can play a role in that fall.

Murder & PTA Moms
Big Little Lies was an entertaining enough read. It was a little too slow for me and way too much drama for my liking. Moriarty did well with the glimpse she gave into toxic and abusive marriages, how women deal with extramarital affairs, and how other parents deal with child bullies.

Murder & Dog Lovers
In Samantha Downing’s Sleeping Dogs Lie, Shelby worked as a dog walker in Northern California, and she’s just finished up her biweekly trip to the park with a husky named Pluto. When she brings him back to his house, she finds his owner dead, Todd Burke, on the bathroom floor.
