Indecisions & Fan Fiction
Vampire Diaries meets Twilight in Britney S. Lewis’s Blood Moon — an ode to the unfairly treated Bonnie Bennett. If you’re looking for dark academia, a smart-witted main female character, and a yearning love triangle then look no further! Spend the weekend learning the folklore behind Timber Plains and Lakeland University!

A Lost Fae Princess & A Draco-Coded Vampire Prince
On Wings of Blood was a decadent read that grabbed me by the ear and dragged me through the plotline’s turmoil before it booted me onto my ass as I frantically scrambled to purchase the sequel. Its filled with jealous, possessive vampires, banter, combat & conflict, and a world so twisted.

Brown Sugar & Peeking Shadows
Of Nectar & Steel was a bit lackluster for me. The ideas were there, but the story fell flat. The romance seemed underdeveloped and rushed, the whole secret society plotline felt ripped off from some distant memory of something else, but chapters were cut up just enough to keep you reading.

Winged Vamps & Hidden Heirs
The Serpent and the Wings of Night wrecked me. The last 30% of the book had me sobbing, yearning, and aching. The twists left me gasping, the banter had me laughing, and the ending had me begging for more.

Shadows & One Hot Nightmare
Sweet Nightmare’s plot and lore were interesting… Think The Originals meets The Shadow Court of ACOTAR. It left so many unanswered questions! It is a series, so fortunately, that’s not a con of this book. What happened to Clementine’s mother? How is Henri? Why was he imprisoned? I’m ready for book 2, please.

Into the Buffyverse
Kiersten White’s Slayer dived into the world of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and followed Athena, daughter of Buffy’s first Watcher, as she dealt with the implications of being a Slayer. Set shortly after the TV show’s series finale, White re-exposed the world to the Buffyverse from a whole new perspective. Decent read.
